QCHP-AD Celebrates the First Anniversary of National CME/CPD Program Launch

                The QCHP-AD 1st Round – up which was held at the Ministry of Public Health Main Auditorium on three recurring days – 20th to 22nd March 2017 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM has been concluded and it was a success. The activity was organized by QCHP-AD team in light of the first anniversary of the National CME/CPD Accreditation System.

                The event has targeted all health care professionals in the state of Qatar with and over 470 number of practitioners and focal points/ representatives from various health care sectors were gathered and took part on the occasion.

                The activity formally started on the 20th of March 2017 where Dr. Samar Mohamed A. Aboulsoud, Acting CEO of QCHP warmly welcomed the audience and formally opened the programme. She highlighted the importance of CPD/CME system, as well as the international recognitions received by QCHP-AD Accreditation system from American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy for Family Physicians (AAFP), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

                For the daily session of the event, Dr. Essam El Sayed CME/CPD Supervisor discussed the CME/CPD system and the framework in detail. He also tackled how to record activities in the CPD e-portfolio, CPD requirements, and CPD appeal processes. The speaker also shared useful resources and reading materials that are available in the QCHP-AD website and e-portfolio that are beneficial for the health care practitioners. He also highlighted some FAQs related to CME/CPD system and framework and provided answers. After an hour of informative lecture, a 30-minutes question and answer period followed.

                The seminar was accredited by the QCHP-AD, thus eligible participants may claim credit for participating the activity under Category 1- accredited group learning activities of the National Framework.
